Leave with a new smile the day your teeth come out
For Carleton Place and the surrounding Lanark County communities, we shape your immediate denture ahead of time and put it in place the day your last teeth come out — so you never spend the healing months with a bare smile, supported instead by a denture our own lab technicians have already built. Built ahead of time, fitted the day your teeth are removed — crafted in our clinic’s own lab.

A denture waiting for you the moment your teeth are out
When the teeth you have left need to go, an immediate denture spares you the months of going without while everything heals. Our denturists prepare it from records gathered beforehand, and it goes in on the very day the teeth are taken out.
Because the design is settled before extraction day, an immediate denture earns its place in three ways:
- Prepared beforehand While your own teeth are still in place, we record impressions, your bite, and references for the smile — so the look is worked out well before the day arrives.
- A cushion while you mend Fitted the same appointment the teeth come out, it rests over the gums and shelters the area as the healing gets underway.
- Refitted as things change Gums shift shape in the months that follow, so relines keep it sitting right — ending in a lasting reline or a final denture.
Set up first, fitted on the day, fine-tuned as you mend
With immediate dentures the sequence is everything — the groundwork is done while you still have your teeth, so the denture is waiting and ready when the day comes.

01
Groundwork at the clinic
With your teeth still in, we record impressions, your bite, and smile references at the Carleton Place clinic, and go over any CDCP or insurance questions you have.
-
02
Built ahead by our lab
Our lab technicians shape and finish the denture before your appointment date, so it is ready to wear the day your teeth are taken out.
-
03
The day it goes in
Once your teeth are removed, the immediate denture is fitted at the same visit — you head home with teeth, and the gums have cover while they begin to heal.
-
04
Relines through healing, then the final fit
As the gums settle over the following months, we reline and adjust, finishing with a lasting reline or a final denture.
Made in time, made by people who fit it too
An immediate denture only works if it is finished before the day arrives. Yours is crafted in our clinic’s own lab, so your denturist can have it on hand for the appointment and stay with the healing-phase relines through a single team you keep coming back to in Carleton Place.
- Finished first The denture is complete before your extraction appointment — never something you wait on afterward.
- Adjustments stay with us The relines through healing are handled by the same clinical team as your gums settle.
- One set of hands, start to finish The denturist fitting you works closely with the lab bench at every step.

It is a denture built ahead of time and fitted the day your remaining teeth are taken out, which means you are never left without teeth as you heal. The impressions and records come first, before the extractions, so the denture is ready to go in at that same appointment.

Yes. Your gums change shape as they heal over the months ahead, so the denture is relined and adjusted along the way to keep it comfortable. When healing has settled, many people round out their treatment with a lasting reline or a final denture. Your denturist lays this plan out for you before anything starts.

Your denturist works alongside the dentist or surgeon handling the extractions, and the immediate denture goes in at that same visit. Resting over the healing gums, it also acts as a cover that shields the area while it settles.
-
The shape and shade of the teeth and the line of your smile are mapped out from references gathered before the teeth come out, so the appearance is worked through ahead of time. Later, the try-in stage for the final denture gives you the chance to look it over and refine the result once healing has finished.

For patients who qualify, the Canadian Dental Care Plan may put some coverage toward immediate dentures. We check where you stand before treatment gets going and go over the estimate — including any relines needed through healing — so you can decide with the full figure in front of you.

A conventional denture is built only after the gums have healed, which leaves a stretch of time with no teeth at all. An immediate denture skips that gap — it goes in straight away, followed by relines and adjustments through healing and a final result once the gums have settled.
