Cost & coverage guide · Ottawa
Denture cost in Ottawa in 2026 — what shapes your price
Cost is often the main reason people put off getting dentures — and the honest answer is that there is no single price. As a guide in 2026, most standard complete dentures at our clinics come in between $1,500 and $2,500 per arch. What you pay depends on the type of denture, the quality of the teeth and materials, and the treatment plan you and your denturist agree on. This guide walks through those factors, what CDCP and other programs may cover, and how to get an exact written estimate before you decide anything.
No referral needed — your estimate is explained in writing before treatment begins.

The honest breakdown
What affects the cost of dentures
Denture cost varies with the type of treatment, the quality of the teeth, and your preferences — and what you ultimately pay also depends on your coverage. Here are the four things your estimate is built from.
Type of denture
Complete, partial, immediate and implant-retained dentures are different treatments, planned and built differently — so the type that suits your needs is the biggest factor in your price.
Quality of the teeth & materials
Replacement teeth come in different qualities. Durable materials such as dental porcelain can be nearly indistinguishable from healthy natural teeth — and material choice affects the fee.
Your treatment plan
Your denturist designs the denture around your bite, facial structure and remaining teeth, and our on-site lab technicians craft it. How much planning and preparation your mouth needs shapes the cost.
What you're covered for
The fee and what you pay aren't the same thing. CDCP and programs like Veterans Affairs, ODSP, Ontario Works and NIHB can cover part — sometimes all — of eligible denture fees.

CDCP, insurance & other coverage
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program that helps eligible Canadian residents without private dental insurance pay for dental care — including complete dentures, partial dentures, relines and repairs, while dental implants themselves aren't covered. Depending on your adjusted family net income, CDCP reimburses 100%, 60% or 40% of eligible fees. We're a participating provider: we check your coverage first, bill the plan directly, and show any out-of-pocket amount in writing before you decide.
CDCP — checked for you
We confirm your eligibility and tier, then bill CDCP directly for eligible treatment, so in most cases you pay only any remaining portion at your visit. One honest note: CDCP reimburses against its own established fee amounts, so even in the 100% tier there can be a small remaining difference on some treatments.
Private insurance
CDCP can't be combined with private dental insurance through an employer, pension or spouse. If you have private coverage, we coordinate billing with that plan instead and explain your estimate the same way — in writing, first.
Other programs
We welcome patients with coverage through Veterans Affairs, ODSP, Ontario Works, Essential Health and NIHB. Hurt at work? WSIB may cover denture treatment from a workplace injury — separately from CDCP.

Cost questions · Good to know
Common questions about denture cost
How much do dentures cost in Ottawa?
There's no single answer, and any page that gives you one without seeing your mouth is guessing. Your cost depends on the type of denture (complete, partial, immediate or implant-retained), the quality of the teeth and materials, and your treatment plan — and what you pay also depends on your CDCP, insurance or program coverage. After a consultation you get an exact estimate in writing before you decide.
Does CDCP cover dentures?
Yes. CDCP covers complete dentures, partial dentures, and denture relines and repairs for eligible patients; dental implants themselves aren't covered by CDCP. We're a participating provider and bill the plan directly.
How much of my denture cost will CDCP pay?
It depends on income: under $70,000 reimburses 100% of eligible fees, $70,000–$79,999 reimburses 60%, and $80,000–$89,999 reimburses 40%. CDCP pays against its own established amounts, so there can still be a small difference — we show any out-of-pocket cost in writing first.
Do you offer payment plans?
We take your lifestyle and circumstances into consideration when planning treatment, and payment options can be discussed at your consultation alongside any CDCP, insurance or program coverage.
Will dentures make me look older?
In our experience, quite the opposite. As we get older we naturally lose upper and lower jaw bone, which can make us appear older. Dentures designed for your facial structure and bite can help restore that structure and give you a natural, youthful-looking smile.
